Who publishes Citizen?

Citizen is published by Citizen Media, LLC which is owned and operated by Citizen’s Co-Editors. There is no wizard behind the curtain, just a small team learning quickly and trying their best to build a brand and a platform that adds to the rich landscape of black culture and culture at large.

Does Citizen accept submissions?

We are always open to and excited to have members of our community share their work and pitch stories. We strongly encourage those who want to pitch written stories to Citizen to review the current issue and get a feel for the editorial tone of the magazine. Please allow up to six weeks to receive a response regarding any submissions or pitches. We are a small team but, we want to respond to all inquiries so please bear with us.
